Relugas Road, Edinburgh, Attic Conversion

Wiszniewski Thomson Architects, 2003-04

This attic conversion creates two bedrooms, a shower room and storage in the attic. The staircase was carefully designed, with built in shelves, to create a study. Bespoke furniture was designed for both bedrooms to maximise the use of the sloping ceiling space. This was made by a local furniture maker.

Whilst working for Wiszniewski Thomson Architects, Lisa collaborated on this project from initial brief to construction.

Argyle Terrace, Edinburgh, Attic Conversion

Wiszniewski Thomson Architects, 2003-04

Whilst working for Wiszniewski Thomson Architects, Lisa collaborated on this project from initial brief to planning permission.

Attic Conversions

Lisa has designed numerous attic conversions. She enjoys imaginatively squeezing stairs into existing buildings to access extra rooms in the attic. Stairs can be like a bespoke piece of furniture or designed as if they had always been there. They can incorporate storage, a study space or even a shower room below them. Upstairs, she can advise on the requirements for dormers or roof lights depending on your existing space. She has skills at creating small bathroom layouts and designing fitted furniture to make the most of your available space.
